For a larger map Derek Ashton Beasley I have, other critics of this product is not useful to me than before my purchase of this product, so I thought I would throw in my two cents. I use this card to my old Linksys card, not much choice to replace or substitute power, and my old router liksys. I am now with the DIR-655 in combination with this card and I'm exceptional assortment! 300Mbps at the end of my property of about 150 running feet away through walls many times. The card itself is able to detect networks from a large to a lot more than my previous card. I am very happy with my purchase. I hope this helps out others. I walked half an hour basic reinstallation and then told me that "this card drivers do not work with Windows XP Service Pack 3" They told me to get rid of Windows Service Pack 2. No, I'm not joking. Thanks, D-Link, wasting time and money with the counterfeit product. D-Link sells this card as compatible with XP, but admit it does not work with the current, approved version of Windows XP. This is very close to fraud. If does not work with XP service pack that 95% of users are in operation, I can not honestly say that works with XP.
