Apple is amazing when it comes to use of Apple Care. In 2001 I sent my PowerBook G4 logic board in a fix due to the "pixel flicker" old problem, not only recovered in three days, but also has a new top case (where you rest your hands / trackpad) and changed the standing failure to request a free, no! (Feet costs about $ 50 per game, and the top cover is about $ 250.) In 2006 I sent in the same Powerbook G4 logic board for another solution (5 years of abuse logic board heat bending), which also received a quick service and replacement feet. I also used Apple Care to get new chargers for my laptop. (Mine tend to short out after a few years as I use my laptop 10 hours a day, 7 days a week and take them with me everywhere). I also got my brand new replacement iPods with Apple Care, if they have any problems drives (eg from losing) has. Customer service people are friendly (for call center / customer service people), they are very quick delivery, and the whole process is pretty easy as far as tech support goes. Apple Care is definitely worth the money. If there are errors in your computer, Apple will fix this at no extra cost, with quick service. If you buy a Mac, you need to buy Apple Care, it can save lives! (Hint: 1) If you buy a third party hardware to your computer, always take it out before it to a Mac Genius or send it to Apple. My problem is with Amazon: I bought my MacBook Pro Apple Care on 04.04.07 and sent me a deadline for Jan/10 - about three months short of three years I've paid for when you contact Apple , which means that the specified start date for the apple care plan is the date on Amazon bought the computer and the computer when the customer buys Amazon. AppleCare replace my Powerbook G4 with a new MacBook Pro By HS sensor light on my OJ G4 (2.5 years) was defective and I sent it to Apple to fix under AppleCare. The sensor was ordered and after a few weeks, I called to complain that was too long to resolve. I spoke with a supervisor, who said that since the sensor was backordered and they could not solve the PB G4 at the time they would give me instead a new MacBook Pro. They sent me the weeks macbookpro a few years ago (the last version and is not extended), and then I sent my PB G4 so you can transfer files, and then, after deleting the files that I sent to Apple G4 PB (all Shipping was paid by Apple) I must say that I was really impressed.
