Brown I recently purchased a Sony Bravia HDTV and a Blu-Ray Player Panasonic. Both came to the Ethernet ports, but not wireless. I have a wireless-N, then I realized I needed a wireless Ethernet bridge for these two new devices. Two bridges are sold at Best Buy (D-Link, Linksys), but the negative reviews, costs $ 100 and has only one Ethernet port each (which requires the purchase of two bridges and a bridge and a bucket). Many of the bridges in the Amazon also received superficial comments. However, I have seen some devices that Buffalo seemed potentially interesting, with several doors and positive reviews on some models. So I gave it a shot since it comes directly from Amazon (rather than a supplier of 3) and is similar to other Buffalo devices that are reviewed positively. These comments from other models warned of possible problems (eg, , Poor documentation, problems with Windows Vista, no problems connecting to Buffalo wireless routers that use encryption), but has supported these difficulties can be overcome, I had the bridge tonight, and it was simple and easy to install on my network. I've just connected directly to the PC via the Ethernet port, ran the setup disk, the installer fed information about my network and encryption, and that's it. I put the bridge in my cave, which is connected to the TV, and I was immediately able to watch HDTV, Internet-only content on my Sony Bravia (for example Amazon's video). All this took about 15 minutes from opening the box, the configuration on my PC, and popping on my TV. Hard to understand how this could be better, so I give it 5 stars for the time to warn people of the benefits of this product, but if I run into problems later, I will update this review. 6 of 6 people found this review helpful. Works as advertised by John Lessnau Works fine on my home theater for my constituents need a direct Ethernet cable (Xbox, DVR and TV 2) It took a careful reading of the instructions to set to work with my Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router WNDR3700 router, but once set I do not have problems like loss of connectivity or delayed. I can stream the Blu Ray quality files from my computer upstairs and my son xbox connection is faster than ever for online gaming. If you have a wireless N bridge, I do not think you can go wrong with Buffalo. 14 of 17 people found this review helpful. Setting up the Mac Tiger 10.4.11 by Craig T. Morita This device works well for streaming Netflix Instant Video to my Sony BDP-N460 Blu-ray player for playback on my Sony XBR TV Bravia8. It is the only bridge that I found which has four connectors on the back of the TV, DVD plug (with a space to an Apple TV or Apple MiniMac connect in the future) There is no documentation on how to use this unit with Macs. Here is a guide for my setup: For the installation of Mac OS Tiger 10.4.11 or Leopard 10.5.x, and a unit of the first generation of broadcasting a signal Time Capsule 802.11n. Note that none of the supplied software is running on a Mac to Web-based configuration for Macs. However, you can access the manual on the CD. Also AOSS setup method does not work with Mac AirPort base stations. The documentation for Mac is not essentially in place. A major problem for users of WEP password: WEP password option with Apple Time Capsule stations and units used in recent airport airport is a special form called WEP (Transitional Security Network), if the 802.11n network in the AirPort Utility program to configure. What is this? This is the description from Apple: A TSN (TSN) is a network security protocol uses the Transition Network, which allows clients to authenticate with the network as secure as possible, based on the capabilities of your hardware and software.
